Randy Hale, Composer

Randy began his career writing music for the theater and then moved to the film, television, and educational arenas. He has composed for the interactive world, including Steven Spielberg's Director's Chair and Knowledge Adventure's Jump Start line. His work for theme parks includes Universal/MCA's Porto Europa, the Disney/Kodak pre-show for Honey I Shrunk the Audience, and Disney Parks Online's What Dreams May Come.

Randy composed the music for CBS's critically acclaimed sitcom, Thanks and has contributed original scores and songs to a number of television shows and films including Lifetime's Strong Medicine, Second Noah for ABC, Promiseland for ABC, and Grapefruit Moon for ABC/Buena Vista Television. He is composer and co-book writer of the musical, Songs From The Tall Grass, which made its world premier at the historic Ford's Theater in Washington, DC.

His work has been nominated for Best Composer by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and has received the National Endowment for the Arts' American Masterpieces: Three Centuries of Artistic Genius and Challenge America grants. He has been a featured speaker at the National Game Developers Conference and received an artist's residency fellowship at the Anderson Center For Interdisciplinary Studies.

Randy is currently working on Artworks, a new musical about a contemporary artist and a music CD based on the teachings of Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo, teacher of the AniYunwiwa (Cherokee) and Drikung Kagyu and Nyingma (Tibetan Buddhist) wisdom paths.

Randy is a member of BMI, SAG, Actor's Equity, the National Association of Songwriters, and the Dramatist Guild.
